Please follow these instructions to complete a Library Patron Form…
Every student looking to use the library who has not filled out a patron registration form needs to fill one out in order to get access to the library system and check out books. If you are not sure you are in the library’s system, you can check with Miss T. by emailing her at .
Please fill out the form online, print it, sign it, and turn it into the library. Or you are welcome to scan it back into your computer and send the form to to request to be put into their student database.
Once in the system, you will need to create a password for your account. For information on how to do that, you can watch the this tutorial video.

Packing Your Bags: Our dormitories provide a twin-sized mattress for you, but we do not supply any pillows, linens, or blankets. Please bring these items. Some students, to save space, bring sleeping bags. Please also pack any toiletries and towels with you, as these will not be provided either.
Planning Your Arrival: Check-in times are from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm PST on Sunday,July 20. Please try and plan your arrival for around that time if you can. If you are for some reason unable to arrive by that time, please let us know so that we can schedule another time to have someone available to check you in.
Booking a Flight: If you plan to fly into the area, we recommend flying into Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). It is about a 30-minute drive to campus without traffic. If this is not feasible, we suggest Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It is about a 1-hour drive to campus without traffic.
Shuttling to Campus: If you are not planning on renting a car, there are a few options you can look into to make sure you get to campus. Uber or Lyft are always viable options to getting to TMU. Otherwise, if you are flying into Burbank, there is metrolink station nearby the airport that will take you all the way to just around the corner from the university. It would still be a significant walk to the university from the metrolink station, so we recommend calling an Uber to help you get the rest of the way. If you are flying into LAX, there is a flyaway bus that can take you from LAX to Van Nuys. From there, you can pick up the metrolink, if you’d like. The university and the Graduate Studies in Biblical Counseling department do not offer any shuttle service for SIP at this time.
Finding Your Dorm: When you arrive to the TMU campus coming down Placerita Canyon Road, you will want to turn right into Parking Lot P1 and immediately proceed to the campus safety guard shack. Just let the campus safety team member in the shack know you’ve come for SIP and they should be able to let you and/or your vehicle through. You will want to go close to the top of the hill to the Waldock dormitory, where you will check in. Use the map below to help you get to Waldock…
Step Inside: Once you get to the top of the hill, go into the Waldock lounge where we will be waiting to check you in.
Meet Your RD: Brianna Harris, one of our campus RDs and Dean of Women, will be handling your check-in. She will tell you what you need to do at that time. There may be a few other helpers with her as well.
Take Your Things: Once you’re finished with check-in, you will be given three important items: A room key, a SIP Student Guide, and an envelope with important information about staying on-campus, including a check-out form you need to fill out and give to your on-site RD before the week is over. Please do not lose the room key. There is a $50 fee for lost keys. If you arrive too late on Sunday evening, you can pick up your room key from the guard shack. The SIP Student Guide will give you all the important information you need to know for your time during SIP.
Find Your Room: You will be assigned a room in Waldock or Slight depending on the size of the party staying with you. If you need help finding your room, there should be someone available to help you do this.
STEP 2: Attend the Orientation Meeting
Later in the evening, there is a mandatory orientation meeting at 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, before the week of SIP begins in the Waldock lounge.
In this meeting, we will explain all the important things you need to know about SIP.
At the meeting, you will also receive a free temporary parking pass for your stay on-campus. We will have parking passes available in your classroom (BSC 204), in case you miss the orientation.

There will be complementary coffee and snacks in BSC 204 available to you all day throughout the week.
Housing
Cost: The cost for housing is $400/week per student (the cost is cheaper than usual, because meals in the cafeteria are not included this summer). If you bring a spouse, the cost is $800/week per couple. If a student brings more family members than a spouse, each additional family member able to fit in a family sized room will not cost anything extra for housing. The housing fee includes your stay in the dorms, but will not include any meals throughout the week (see Meals below). The housing fee will be billed to your student account sometime after SIP.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. Please respect others in the dorm.
Wing Access: No men are allowed on a women’s-only wing and no women are allowed on a men’s only wing in single-housing dorms.
Washers & Dryers: There are washers and dryers available for you to use should you need to do so. Each washing load costs $2.00. Each dryer load costs $1.75. The machines operate from an app or with coins. All the necessary information on downloading and using the app is available in the laundry room. If you need to exchange cash for quarters, please talk with one of our SIP staff attendants.
Meals
In the past, the cafeteria has been open to our students and the cost of it including in housing.
This year, however, the cafeteria is not available to SIP students. You will need to make other arrangements for your food for you and your family (if applicable) during the week.
Special Events
Class Picture: On Friday, July 25, we will be taking a group picture of all students, staff, and faculty to commemorate our time together. We will all meet in the courtyard outside of the Biblical Studies Center at 1:30 pm.
If there are other events, these will be communicated to you at a later time.
