Please follow these instructions to complete a Library Patron Form…
Every student looking to use the library who has not filled out a patron registration form needs to fill one out in order to get access to the library system and check out books. If you are not sure you are in the library’s system, you can check with Miss T. by emailing her at .
Please fill out the form online, print it, sign it, and turn it into the library. Or you are welcome to scan it back into your computer and send the form to to request to be put into their student database.
Once in the system, you will need to create a password for your account. For information on how to do that, you can watch the this tutorial video.

Packing Your Bags: Our dormitories provide a twin-sized mattress for you, but we do not supply any pillows, linens, or blankets. Please bring these items. Some students, to save space, bring sleeping bags. Please also pack any toiletries and towels with you, as these will not be provided either.
Planning Your Arrival: Check-in times start at 1:00pm PST on either Sunday of both weeks (July 7 and 14). Please try and plan your arrival for around that time if you can. If you are for some reason unable to arrive by that time, please let us know so that we can schedule another time to have someone available to check you in.
Booking a Flight: If you plan to fly into the area, we recommend flying into Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). It is about a 30-minute drive to campus without traffic. If this is not feasible, we suggest Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It is about a 1-hour drive to campus without traffic.
Shuttling to Campus: If you are not planning on renting a car, there are a few options you can look into to make sure you get to campus. If you are flying into Burbank, there is metrolink station nearby the airport that will take you all the way to just around the corner from the university. It would still be a significant walk to the university from the metrolink station, so we recommend calling an Uber to help you get the rest of the way. If you are flying into LAX, there is a flyaway bus that can take you from LAX to Van Nuys. From there, you can pick up the metrolink, if you’d like. The university and the Graduate Studies in Biblical Counseling department do not offer any shuttle service for SIP at this time.
Finding Your Dorm: When you arrive to the TMU campus coming down Placerita Canyon Road, you will want to turn right into Parking Lot P1 and immediately proceed to the campus safety guard shack. Just let the campus safety team member in the shack know you’ve come from SIP and they should be able to let you and/or your vehicle through. You will want to go close to the top of the hill to the Waldock dormitory, where you will check in. Use the map below to help you get to Waldock…
Step Inside: Once you get to the top of the hill, go into the Waldock lounge where we will be waiting to check you in.
Meet Your RD: Valerie Philipp, one of our campus RDs, will be handling your check-in. She will tell you what you need to do at that time. There may be a few other helpers with her as well.
Take Your Things: Once you’re finished with check-in, you will be given three important items: A room key, a name tag, and a SIP handbook. Please do not lose the room key. There is a $50 fee for lost keys. If you arrive too late on Sunday evening, you can pick up your room key from the guard shack. Your name tag will give you access to eat meals in the cafe without extra charge. The SIP handbook will give you all the important information you need to know for your time during SIP.
Find Your Room: You will be assigned a room in Waldock or Slight depending on the size of the party staying with you. If you need help finding your room, there should be someone available to help you do this.
Grab Some Grub: After settling in, feel free to take advantage of a free boxed dinner put together by our cafeteria team. You can get this by walking down to the cafeteria entering through the lower-level Dunkin Student Center. Once inside head to the area called The Trough and there should be an open fridge compartment with boxed lunches. Please take only one per person.
STEP 2: Purchase a Parking Pass
If you plan on parking a car on campus, you will need to purchase a temporary parking pass.
Each temporary parking pass lasts only 7 days. So if you are staying for both weeks of SIP, you will need to purchase two temporary parking passes.
Each pass costs $10.
You are welcome to park anywhere on campus, except for spots marked STAFF or that have some other special parking restriction.
You can purchase your parking pass at the guard shack.
STEP 3: Attend the Orientation Meeting
Later in the evening, there is a mandatory orientation meeting at 7:00pm each Sunday (July 7 and July 14) before the week of SIP begins. Location: TBD.
We will explain all the important things you need to know about SIP as well as show you around to the various classrooms, so you know where to go the next day.

There will be a breakroom you can take advantage of at break times during your class with complimentary coffee, snacks, and other beverages to keep you going through the day. We will let you know where this breakroom is located when you come to SIP.
Housing
Cost: The cost for housing is $495/week per student. If you bring a spouse, the cost is $990/week per couple. If a student brings more family members than a spouse, each additional family member able to fit in a family sized room will not cost anything extra for housing. The housing fee includes both room and meals at the cafeteria. Any additional family members that stay for free in the room, outside of the student and his/her spouse, will need to pay for their own meals at the cafeteria at cost. The housing fee will be billed to your student account sometime after SIP.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 6:00am. Please respect others in the dorm.
Wing Access: No men are allowed on a women’s-only wing and no women are allowed on a men’s only wing in housing dorms.
Washers & Dryers: There are washers and dryers available for you to use should you need to do so. Each washing load costs $1.50. Each dryer load costs $1.75. The machines operate from an app or with coins. All the necessary information on downloading and using the app is available in the laundry room. If you need to exchange cash for quarters, please talk with one of our SIP staff attendants.
Meals
Cafe Schedule: Meals will be served at the cafeteria breakfast, lunch, and dinner each week of SIP, except for Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch. The cafe daily schedule is as follows…
Breakfast: 7:00 – 8:00 am
Lunch: 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Dinner: 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Cafe Rate: All meals in the cafeteria are covered for you (and your spouse) by your housing fee, if you are staying on campus. Any additional family members staying with you will need to pay out of pocket for meals at the cafeteria. Any student not paying the housing fee will also need to pay out of pocket for meals at the café. The cafe rate is as follows…
Adults (12 and older): $8.50 (breakfast), $9.50 (lunch/dinner)
Kids (4–11): $4.00
Kids (3 and younger): Free
Cafe Location: Our cafeteria is located on the second level of the Student Dunkin Center. Once you walk upstairs, you should come across an attendant who will help you sign in. Please bring your nametag to help their staff verify you are a SIP student.
Special Events
Ice Cream Social: The annual Ice Cream Social is TBD this year. Please be on the lookout for any emails or announcements about this event.
Class Picture: Each Friday of SIP (July 12 and July 19) we will be taking a group picture of all students, staff, and faculty to commemorate our time together. We will all meet in the courtyard on each of those days at 12:30 pm in the courtyard outside of the Biblical Studies Center.

STEP 2: Pack
Pack up all your belongings before your check-out time and make sure your room is clean and tidy. Please leave your dorm room entirely cleaned. Wipe down the surface areas and make sure no trash is left behind.
STEP 3: Head to the Waldock Lounge
When you leave, keep the door to your room unlocked and head over to meet your campus RD in the Waldock lounge at the time you scheduled with her to check out.
STEP 4: Leave Your Key
Leave your key with the RD at the check-out station and follow any last instructions the RD gives you.
