We are looking forward to hearing your presentation on the thesis topic you’ve researched. As you prepare to share what you’ve studied, please consider the following information.
Students, guests (family, friends, etc. are welcome), and panelists will be present for the duration of the event and a break will be scheduled at around the halfway point.
You and up to 3 guests are welcome to attend the Graduation Dinner immediately following the symposium. Wood Ranch Grill will be catering. Please RSVP if you have not already using the link in the email sent to you.
For students coming in for graduation out of town, you can arrange to pick up your regalia at the Registrar Office or at our MABC Office at some point when you arrive into town. Please contact one of our departments to schedule a time to swing by.
For information about the Graduation Ceremony itself or other campus-wide graduation activities, click here.
Any updates about the Thesis Symposium or Graduation Dinner to follow will be posted here. We will try to let you know about important updates, but please check back here regularly to ensure you are up-to-date.
As you prepare to present, consider the following format for how you should break up your time presenting your material…
2 min.
Summary of why you chose to study in the MABC program, a highlight from your time in the program, and your plans to serve in biblical counseling after graduation
10 min.
Summary of your Thesis Research Outline (broad overview of the project, including significant details, and related passages from Scripture)
10 min.
Q&A directed by the Lead Panelist (only Panelists will be able to ask questions due to time constraints)
In addition, please consider the following guidelines…
The symposium will be taking place in four separate rooms on Grace Baptist Church campus simultaneously. The four groups are as follows. To examine and download a student’s thesis research outline, please select Click here adjacent to their name. Any designated Coming Soon are forthcoming in the next week or so once they make their final submission. Please check back here after April 26th for those particular thesis research outlines.
