The Master’s University’s 96th annual Commencement Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. today on TMU’s Reese Field.

The event is sold out. However, a livestream will be available at masters.edu/live and on Facebook and YouTube.

Dr. Abner Chou, TMU’s president, will preside as the University hosts Commencement on campus for the third consecutive year. Dr. Grant Horner — a professor of English, Renaissance, and Reformation — is scheduled to give the Commencement address.

In all, TMU’s 2023 graduating class consists of 262 undergraduate students, with 61 of them earning summa cum laude honors (3.85 GPA or higher). The class also includes 67 graduate students, earning master’s degrees in business administration, biblical studies, biblical counseling, and education. The Master’s University was founded in 1927 in Los Angeles (at the time, called Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary). The institution moved to Newhall in 1961 and changed its name to The Master’s College in 1985, and to The Master’s University in 2016.
