Why Double Major?
The double major and minor combination is strategically designed to produce knowledgeable, articulate, principled graduates ready to influence law, media, and society uncompromisingly for Christ.
This proposed four-year course plan is designed for maximum credit efficiency. It enables students to strategically utilize TMU’s academic structure to fulfill the requirements for a B.A. in Political Studies, Constitutional Law emphasis, a B.A. in Communication, Journalism emphasis, and the 24 units needed to complete a minor in Biblical Studies.
The Constitutional Law curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. legal system, Supreme Court decisions, and the interplay between federal and state powers. This foundation prepares them for careers in law, policy analysis, or government. Meanwhile, the Journalism program develops expertise in research, writing, and media production, equipping graduates to communicate complex legal and political topics to the public effectively. Combined, these disciplines create professionals skilled at analyzing legal frameworks and transforming them into compelling narratives, making them ideal candidates for careers in legal journalism, public policy advocacy, or political commentary.
