The Master’s University has officially launched the fall edition of its rebranded publication, The Master’s University Magazine.
Regular readers of The Mustang Connection may have noticed a dearth of new releases in the past few months. This is because the University’s communications and marketing departments were working on a refresh of the magazine.
Now releasing on a quarterly basis, each edition of the magazine will feature more of what readers have come to expect.
Mason Nesbitt, director of communications at TMU and the magazine’s editor, explains the rationale behind a quarterly magazine in a letter at the beginning of this fall edition.
“The revised timeline allows us to be more strategic in the content we provide — resulting, we believe, in a more valuable final product,” Nesbitt says.
The magazine will now regularly release a fall, winter, spring and summer edition each year. Fall 2022’s edition is “The Science & Tech Issue,” themed around TMU’s School of Science, Mathematics, Technology & Health, which has seen significant expansion in recent years.
However, while the name, release schedule, and look of the magazine have changed, TMU’s fundamental goal to encourage and connect with alumni remains the same.
“We’ll continue to highlight alumni who demonstrate faithfulness to Christ in the workplace, the church and the home,” Nesbitt says. “We’ll continue to publish articles by members of our distinguished faculty. These are designed to inspire deep and practical thinking about important topics.”
The magazine will also continue to serve as a centralized place to keep alumni and friends of the University informed about events and updates around campus.
“This is an incredibly special time in the history of the University, and we want you to join us in enjoying everything the Lord is doing,” Nesbitt says.
You’ll find a digital flipbook of the fall 2022 edition, here. You can also read many of the magazine’s stories in plain text and larger font, here.
