Assistant Professor of Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant
Geoff Branda’s career journey reflects nearly three decades of expertise in the automobile finance industry, marked by a steady ascent from accounting to executive leadership. His professional foundation was laid at a Big Four accounting firm, where he earned his CPA and gained invaluable experience auditing and supervising audits across diverse industries. This experience prepared him for a seamless transition into the private sector, where his focus turned to automobile finance.
Geoff began as a Senior Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand before quickly advancing to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. While there, he refined his skills by developing budgeting models, conducting product analyses, and creating profitability strategies. His efforts culminated in his promotion to Senior Manager of Product Pricing and Profitability.
At Westlake Financial Services, Geoff held key roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Risk Management, and Director of System Integration, driving success across financial strategy, risk management, and operational integration. He carried this expertise into his tenure as CFO and Vice President of Risk Management at Wheels Financial Group LLC, where he helped shape the company’s financial direction.
From 2015 to 2018, Geoff was CFO at Studio Roqovan Inc., where he established comprehensive administrative systems, including accounting, payroll, HR, and investor reporting. Most recently, as Director of Financial Planning and Analytics at Premier Auto Credit, he developed innovative tools to improve decision-making. He oversaw critical operations spanning sales, loan processing, accounting, and servicing.
Throughout his career, Geoff has been a key driver of transformation, pivoting in growing a small, family-owned finance company into the largest privately owned auto finance organization in the United States. His deep understanding of high-growth environments and strategic insights have positioned him as a leader capable of navigating competitive industries and achieving remarkable results.
Now at The Master’s University, Geoff draws on this wealth of experience to inspire and equip students. His journey—from starting in accounting to holding roles such as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and acting Chief Executive Officer—offers invaluable lessons on leadership, innovation, and success in dynamic, fast-paced industries.
Before joining TMU in Spring 2020, Geoff contributed to launching a video game development company, working alongside a talented team to bring the business to life.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Geoff has faithfully served his community as a deacon at his local church and has led a home Bible study group for over 20 years. He finds his greatest joy in life, after Christ, in his wife Mae and their four wonderful children.
