Our full-time faculty members have more than 150 years of combined experience in the classroom. We also have excellent adjunct instructors who are either currently working in the field or are recently retired.
We offer Multiple Subject and Single Subject programs, both consisting of professional education courses, fieldwork and student teaching.
After completing the traditional 4 year, or accelerated 3 year, undergraduate program, students then complete the 1 year Credential Program. This is an in-person, project-based cohort program where each student is partnered with two mentor teachers, working in their classrooms from the start of the program. After gaining real-world teaching experience, students can then complete the M.Ed program, a 100% online graduate degree that consists of 5 additional classes that can be completed while working full-time. In addition to the skills and expertise, an M.Ed generally also commands a higher teacher’s salary.
Our alumni are teaching to the glory of God through teaching across California, in 12 different states, and around the world. They are making an impact in Cambodia, the Central Asia region, China, Germany, Japan, and Mexico.

Every student’s experience, whether in kindergarten or college, is primarily shaped by the attitude and skill of their teacher. With this truth in mind, we recognize both a profound responsibility and an incredible opportunity. Our School of Education graduates play a pivotal role in teaching and guiding the next generation. Our aim is to equip our students with the wisdom and practical skills needed to excel in their profession and serve as beacons of righteousness.
Drawing upon a biblical worldview, our faculty, who collectively possess over a century of classroom experience, provide instruction that elucidates the methodologies employed in the classroom. Additionally, our programs offer hands-on experiences that prepare students to hit the ground running in their first teaching positions.
Our student-teachers and graduates are highly sought-after in both public and private schools at the elementary and secondary levels. We have cultivated strong partnerships with schools locally, nationally, and internationally. In addition, we offer a flexible undergraduate pathway for students seeking a well-rounded education or transferring credits from previous college coursework.
To succeed in our advanced baccalaureate-level program, students must demonstrate proficiency across various disciplines. This entails mastery of written and oral communication, appreciation for literature, and specialized knowledge in science, mathematics, social sciences, humanities, and fine arts.
Furthermore, students must exhibit an understanding of the interconnectedness between academic subjects and possess the ability to design effective teaching techniques tailored for K-8 elementary school classrooms in California. Moreover, a comprehensive knowledge of the diverse characteristics of K-8 students is of paramount importance.
