Dr. Brown is dedicated to education and supporting those who desire to become teachers. He is an Associate Professor in the Pearl C. Schaffer School of Education and serves as the Single Subject Coordinator for candidates enrolled in TMU’s teacher preparation program. He possesses a California Clear Credential in English with over 20 years of experience teaching junior high and high school English. Additionally, Dr. Brown is involved with the Writing Project at CSUN, where he has had opportunities to lead professional development workshops for educators across Los Angeles.

In addition to these roles, Dr. Brown has presented at numerous conferences and published articles in respected journals such as English Journal and California English. His research examines the reciprocal interaction between teacher identity formation and teacher self-efficacy in pre-service teachers. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Brown and his wife enjoy time with their family.
