I was born and raised in Southern California, about two hours south of TMU. Growing up I was heavily involved in sports, especially lacrosse which quickly developed into my favorite. In high school I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to compete in lacrosse, cross country, and track, and it was through my experience running that I was first introduced to TMU.
My recruiting visit with the cross-country team at TMU left a lasting impression on me, and I knew right away that there was something different and special going on at TMU and with the team. The Lord graciously saved me about a month and a half later, and when it came time to decide where to commit for college, the Lord made it abundantly clear that TMU was the place I was supposed to be. I ultimately committed to run and compete for the program.
My time at TMU was transformative- the Lord grew me in so many ways that I could not have anticipated. He deepened my love for and my dependence on Christ and Scripture. He used the athletics acronym, WORSHIP, to reshape my understanding that everything I do- athletics, academics, work- is for the glory of God alone. I was surrounded also by a community that truly lived this out: friends who became family, mentors who faithfully disciple me, and professors who care about me spiritually and academically. Through these relationships and my church, PBC, I was continually challenged, encouraged, and refined to pursue Christ more fully and serve others more faithfully.
I graduated from TMU in December of 2024 with my degree in Sport Management and will graduated with my MBA from TMU in December of 2026. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the place that the Lord used so significantly in my life. I look forward to walking alongside prospective students as they consider what the Lord has in store for them at TMU.
