Dr. Todd Bolen has been a dedicated educator at TMU since 1996 when he began teaching at the Israel Bible Extension (IBEX) program. During his tenure, he has led geography field trips, participated in archaeological excavations, and directed the student life program. His passion for biblical studies and teaching inspired him to establish BiblePlaces.com and create the Pictorial Library of Bible Lands, a comprehensive 20-volume collection of digital photographs designed to support pastors and Bible teachers.

Dr. Bolen has contributed extensively to biblical scholarship, including articles for the Archaeological Study Bible, the 2 Kings notes for the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible, and essays for the Lexham Geographic Commentary series. He is co-authoring a textbook on the history of ancient Israel and leading the development of the Photo Companion to the Bible, an ambitious project now spanning 29 volumes.

His research interests include topics such as the Israelite monarchy, Psalms, Isaiah, and the life of Christ. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Bolen enjoys cycling, traveling, and reading. He and his wife, Kelli, have five children.
