Professor Hamory served at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center from 1987 to 2022, specializing in instrumentation engineering and flight systems. His recent contributions include work on the X-57 electric propulsion research aircraft and advancements in fiber optic sensing systems. With expertise in analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, sensor and system development, and vibration measurement and analysis, he has also conducted extensive environmental testing across temperature, altitude, vibration, and shock conditions.

In addition to his core expertise, Prof. Hamory has experience in software development, aerodynamic measurements, and thermal and mechanical design and analysis.

Beyond his professional achievements, Phil and his wife, T.J., are blessed parents of a daughter and son, both graduates of TMU and in-laws to a son-in-law currently studying at TMS. They are also grandparents to a granddaughter. Phil is deeply interested in apologetics and actively participates in the Evangelism Explosion training ministry at Valley Bible Church in Lancaster.
