Dr. Button’s career in education is both diverse and distinguished. From 1991 to 1992, he served as an adjunct Mathematics professor at San Diego City College. In the summer of 1992, he expanded his teaching experience internationally by working as a missionary English teacher at the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in Ukraine. After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Button joined Louisiana College in Pineville, LA, where he served as an assistant professor of Mathematics from 1996 to 1998.

A dedicated scholar, Dr. Button is an active member of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society. Beyond academics, he is deeply involved in his church communities, contributing as a Sunday school teacher, choir singer, and handbell player. Currently, Dr. Button also serves as an adjunct professor for the Center for Professional Studies at TMU, continuing his commitment to education and mentorship.
