Assistant Professor, Engineering & Computer Science
Jason Hendrickson is a seasoned educator and technology leader teaching courses spanning cybersecurity, computer hardware, operating systems, cloud computing, project management, and network administration. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and information technology, he is passionate about equipping students with practical, hands-on skills rooted in both historical context and modern technological trends.
Jason holds multiple industry certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, and Project+, as well as Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist credentials. He also holds certifications in fiber optics and AV system programming. His teaching approach emphasizes real-world application, incorporating projects such as client-server models in gaming environments, cryptographic system development, and secure network configuration using tools like Wireshark, Snort, and Docker. He is currently completing his M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Technical Institute (Georgia Tech).
In addition to his academic role, Jason has served in several strategic technology positions at The Master’s University, including Service and Application Manager and Director of IT Innovation, which he founded in 2020, rapidly designing and deploying hybrid and remote teaching systems across campus in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also consults for K-12 Christian schools and other non-profit organizations, leading infrastructure overhauls that modernize networks from firewalls to wireless access points.
Jason’s other interests include music and history. He serves on the technical team at his local church, which he attends with his wife and their three boys.
