Dr. Haley Smith holds a B.S. in Biology from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Her doctoral research at UCSB focused on the molecular mechanisms governing neural tube closure in a marine invertebrate, a study that deepened her appreciation for the intricate beauty of creation. Alongside her research, Dr. Smith earned a Certificate in College and Undergraduate Teaching, further cementing her passion for education. Through her teaching, she seeks to inspire the next generation of scientists by sharing her groundbreaking research and the marvels of God’s precise and intricate design in nature. Dr. Smith plans to continue her research and mentorship with undergraduate students at TMU, fostering curiosity and discovery in biology.
