Growing up in Southern California, I knew I did not want to leave when it came time for me to choose a college.
However, I never thought that I would be able to attend TMU for four years. The plan was to attend a junior college and transfer to a state school – for the purpose of saving money. Thankfully, God had a different plan! In June of my senior year I met the TMU XC and track coaches at a local race and a few days later, they offered me a spot on the team. During my time here, I had the joy of competing at 8 National Championships. The opportunity to compete at the collegiate level under coaches who were actively pursuing the Lord was something that my parents and I saw as a worthwhile investment. Here at TMU I made life-long friendships on my team and in the classroom. My coaches and the faculty have had a lasting influence on my life and have truly helped shape the way that I think.
I graduated from TMU in 2017, with a degree in Communications, and now I love working at The Master’s University - and connecting with students like you is my favorite part. If you are considering Master’s, I want to get to know you. Come visit the campus and say Hi!
When I am not in the office, I am likely spending time with family, at the beach or watching some baseball. I love catching up with friends and enjoy running the nearby trails. Basically, anything outdoors that involves yummy food and good people!
My recommendation to prospective students is to start by reading the TMU mission and doctrinal statement, and then to explore the undergraduate degrees and programs - or even better, to do that in person at our visit days!
