On April 4th, TMU's fifth annual Student Research Conference (SRC) is open to all students involved in research in the School of Science, Mathematics, Technology & Health — as well as middle school Science Fair finalists from Legacy Christian Academy, Santa Clarita Christian School, Classical Conversations Academy from Simi Valley, Moorpark and Sun Valley campuses.
We are pleased to be hosting the fifth annual Student Research Conference (SRC) at TMU. This event is intended for TMU students who are involved in research and also highlights our TMU students who will present their research at the annual West Coast Biological Science Undergraduate Research Conference. Students will write abstracts and submit them to editors who will review them. If the abstracts are accepted, then students will design postiers and present them at the SRC.
In addition, we will host middle school science fair finalists from Legacy Christian Academy, Santa Clarita Christian School, Classical Conversations Academy from Simi Valley, Moorpark and Sun Valley Campuses. All presentations will be judged by TMU faculty. The best presenters (poster + oral presentation) at the middle school and collegiate levels will each receive awards.
This year, we will hear from Dr. Monica Vroman, visiting professor in Computer Science at TMU, “From Student to Scientist: What It’s Like to Get a PhD in Computer Science”. Refreshments will be served, making it a great opportunity to engage with the latest in student research!
