Commencement Exercises Info for TMU Faculty & Staff

Ticketing/Parking Passes

Faculty participating in the Commencement ceremony do not need to purchase a ticket or parking pass. 

Non-participating faculty (for instance, adjuncts, online, and retired faculty) and faculty spouses will be able to reserve tickets and parking passes by clicking here. For free parking, please contact for promo code.

Regular TMU-issued parking permits will not be valid on Commencement Day.  

Important Dates

Faculty: 

• December 19, 2025: Grad Contracts (Must be completed by December 19, 2025 for students to avoid late fees) 

• April 15, 2026: Tickets and parking will be available for Non-Participating Faculty or Faculty Spouses. 

• • This applies to adjuncts, online, retired faculty and faculty spouses. 

• • Please look out for information from our April faculty meeting, TMU Announcements or the Commencement Website for the link.   

• Department Honors Chapel: April 24th, 2026 (for traditional students only). 

• Commencement Day Events:
  • 12:30pm  ceremony marshals will meet on the field for procession/recession practice.   

    1:30pm Rehearsal in the Gym with Grads and Deans 

    • Deans will go over pronunciation of last names during practice with students.  NOTE: Cards of names have been distributed before Honors Chapel (Friday, April 24th to give Deans the ability to ask about pronunciations when they meet with graduates. 
    • Grads will be assigned seats according to the line up 

    2:30pm-5:00pm Department Photos (Oaks Pavilion) 

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Review BOTH times designated to majors: we will start with individual photos of grads 15 minutes before taking a group photo of the entire department.  Please arrive EARLIER than your designated slots. Anticipate being in the area for 30-40 minutes.

    Exiting Commencement: The East Gate will be open for Commencement.  

    • Faculty may exit either 13st Street/Railroad (only turning right) or Placerita Canyon Rd. to Sierra Highway14th Freeway.

If I am participating in the Commencement ceremony, do I need to get a ticket/parking pass? 

No, you do not need a ticket or parking pass. More information will be provided in our April faculty meeting. 

If I’m an adjunct or retired faculty member, how do I get a ticket/parking pass?  

The ticketing site for tickets and parking passes will be available for you on April 15. Please look out for an email from TMU Announcements or check the Commencement website for the link. 

How does my spouse or guest get a ticket/parking pass?
