The Master’s University Chorale Invited to Carnegie Hall for World Premiere

The Master’s University Chorale, representing the Paul T. Plew School of Music, has received an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall on November 30, 2026. The Chorale will serve as one of the featured choirs for the world premiere of Heather Sorenson’s Christmas Oratorio in the famed Isaac Stern Auditorium.

The invitation stems from a personal recommendation by Ms. Sorenson, who noted the ensemble’s musical integrity while conducting them during a previous Passion Week Concert.

“It is with immense joy that we accept this invitation to sing in a world premiere on such a historic stage,” said Dr. Marius Bahnean, Director of Choral Activities at TMU. “We are pleased to see the hard work and dedication of our students being recognized on such a prestigious platform.”
