Jonathan and Sharon both moved to California in 1997, Jonathan starting at TMS and Sharon at TMC. Sharon was taught under Dr. Mays, Dr. Bookman, Dr. C.W. Smith, and Dr. Varner. They also both had the chance to spend a semester in Israel with IBEX in spring 2001.

Jonathan finished his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from TMS, and he received his Ph.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary just before they moved to Russia. They served in Russia from 2008 to 2014 and then in the Czech Republic from 2016 to 2022. Jonathan is now a pastor at Geneva Bible Church in Switzerland. He recently published, “The Trial of the 16th Century: Calvin & Servetus” (Christian Focus, 2021) and teaches with The Master’s Academy International in Europe. They are both certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, where Jonathan is also a fellow.

Please pray for Geneva Bible Church, their new church plant. It is a growing church, and they have many opportunities to use biblical counseling. Pray for the pastors (John Glass, Frank Tetreault, and Jonathan) and for the Moorheads’ five children. Nahum is an electrician in Alabama. Isaac, Jesse, and Jonas all attend TMU, and Miriam lives at home but desires to attend TMU this year.
