MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

There are four opportunities to complete a LIVE audition for admittance into the School of Music for the 2020-2021 academic year. Choose from any of the following dates and schedule your audition time today by calling 800.568.6248 ext. 2279 or emailing music@masters.edu. Based on your entrance audition, you may also be considered to receive music scholarship.

  • November 11, 2019 (Fall Prelude Event)

  • February 17, 2020 (Spring Prelude Event)

  • March 27, 2020, 2-4 pm

  • April 6, 2020, 2-4 pm

If you are unable to attend any of these dates, please contact the School of Music to discuss alternate dates and methods for completing your audition. Please note: after the April 6th audition date, scholarship funds for the 2020-2021 academic year cannot be guaranteed. Since musical ability and training are best displayed through a live audition, submission of a recording is discouraged. However, should you need to audition via a recording, please understand that your degree approval and scholarship amount may be affected since it is more difficult for our music faculty to fully evaluate your skills.

Auditions:

Prepare appropriate selections in accordance with the requirements listed for each instrument below. You may wish to consult a teacher to help you make a selection that best demonstrates your musical ability. Attire should reflect the seriousness of the audition process.

Your 15-minute audition will include a live performance for selected music faculty and a Music Fundamentals Exam. Scales and sight reading may also be assessed.

If you require an accompanist (vocalists only), please inform us of your song titles and email your music to the Music Office two weeks prior to your audition date, and we will provide a staff accompanist. You will be able to rehearse with the accompanist prior to your audition.

Entrance/Scholarship Application Guidelines:
