To be accepted into The Master’s University School of Music, students are required to submit a School of Music Application and audition on their chosen primary instrument (if applicable to their degree program/for scholarship consideration). Audition videos may replace an in-person audition if you are unable travel to our campus.
Audition Dates 2021-2022:
- Friday, October 29 @ 2:00 pm (During View the U)
- Monday, Nov. 15 @ 4:00 pm (During Prelude)
- Monday, Feb. 21 @ 4:00 (During Prelude)
- Friday, March 25 @ 2:00 pm (During View the U)
- Monday in April (date TBA) @ 4:00 pm (During Monday @ Master’s)

Call or email Jennifer Ehlen to schedule an appointment for an audition on our campus (661) 362-2279 or email@example.com If you are unable to audition in person, please upload your audition video to YouTube or Google Drive following the guidelines for video auditions below.
Submit your completed SOM application prior to your scheduled audition by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are submitting a video audition, include the link to your entrance audition in your email.
Entrance & Scholarship Audition Requirements:
Prepare appropriate selections per the requirements listed for each instrument below. You may wish to consult your current instructor to help make a selection that best demonstrates your musical ability.

Please Note: The School of Music strongly recommends that every student entering in or after Fall 2021 own a MacBook Pro computer with a minimum of 16GB of ram as TMU uses Apple products exclusively for music technologies. Composition, Music Production, and Audio Production & Communications majors will be required to own a MacBook Pro as their classes require the use of this software.
