
Financial Aid - TMU Scholarship
Every student must complete a Financial Aid Application to be considered for any financial aid. The Master’s University offers Merit-based Scholarships, Need-based Grants, and Federal/State Aid. See below for more details. All Institutional aid is awarded up to 4 years/8 semesters. All institutional aid is evenly disbursed between two semesters.
In order to qualify for financial aid, students must first complete their admission process. See freshmen, transfer, international, and homeschool admission requirements at masters.edu/apply.

Amount Full-Tuition Coverage (5 scholarships available)
This scholarship combines all institutional, external, and/or government aid available (not including loans) equating to $27,950/year across four (4) years. Scholarship recipients pay zero tuition and do not need to take any loans for tuition. Room, board, student fees, or other costs are separate
- For all new undergraduate on-campus freshmen and transfer students.
- Students must be first-time applicants admitted for Fall 2021.
- Students must complete the FAFSA and the 2021 John P. Stead Steadfast Scholarship application.
- Standard financial aid eligibility applies for awarding and renewal.

Competitive scholarship awarded to full-time incoming freshmen. Applicants must have a weighted high school GPA of 4.00 and a SAT I score (Critical Reading and Math sub-tests only) of 1350 or ACT score of 30 or CLT score of 98. Renewable with a college GPA of 3.5.

Athletic Scholarship
Eligibility Awarded by the Athletic Department to students who demonstrate athletic ability and Christian character which will contribute to The Master’s University and its athletic programs. Annual application is required.
Students awarded athletic scholarships may only receive Federal/State Aid and Outside or Ministry Scholarships (outside portion only) in addition to their athletic scholarship. They do not qualify for any other institutional aid.

Pastor and Missionary Dependent Grant
Eligibility Awarded to full-time students demonstrating need, who are dependents of full-time pastors or missionaries who provide their family’s primary support and whose ministries are consistent with the mission of TMU.

Ministry Matching Grant
Eligibility Awarded to students who receive sponsorship from a Christian ministry. TMU will match, on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to a total of $1,500 per student, as long as funds remain available.

Alumni Grant
Eligibility Awarded to new students applying for the 2021-2022 academic year, whose parents hold a degree from The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, CA.

The Master's Global Scholarship
Eligibility The Master’s Global Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students showing reasonable progress towards the completion of a degree at The Master’s University. The scholarship is designed to aid
1) International students with a proven affiliation to TMU through GMI, TMAI, GTY, TMS, or TMU alumni, as an expansion of the newly launched International Students Tuition Care program;
2) Students originating from churches with long-standing relationships with TMUS, especially churches led by pastors from TMS, members of TMF, or the TMUS Board; and/or
3) Students who are children of TMU alumni.
The Recipient Must:
Classify as a student under one of the three categories listed above; and,
Preference for eligible students shall be given to those who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.

Recipient exhibits Christian characteristics as one “…who walks worthy of God…” (I Thessalonians 2:12) in daily life.

Recipient must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units).

Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Scholarship is awarded for one year. Annual application is required to renew.

This scholarship is for new, incoming traditional undergraduate freshmen or transfer students.

The student must be a member or regular attendee of the partnered church (listed above), and provide the pastor’s recommendation from the listed church in their application for traditional undergraduate admissions.

Students must apply to this scholarship in order to be eligible. Scholarship awards are not automatic.

The student must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or above, or transfer student must have a transfer GPA of 3.0 or above. Awards are dependent on GPA, FAFSA, and Need.

Scholarships are limited to five (5) per church. Once all scholarships have been awarded, eligible students who have not been awarded may be placed on a scholarship waitlist.

Eligibility For international students affiliated with The Master’s Institute International (TMAI), Grace To You (GTY), The Master’s Seminary (TMS) or other affiliates, we offer a 50% tuition-only scholarship. This is a need-based grant available to students who meet all the below criteria. The student’s need is determined through the standard financial aid procedure for international students.

Loss of Job Application
Eligibility The Master’s University understands that some families have lost jobs or lost a significant amount of income due to COVID-19. We want to do our best to help work with you and the federal government to assist you with additional resources. We have the ability to notify the Department of Education of any loss of Job and in return potentially help you receive additional federal or institutional funds.
