MacArthur Endowment

Purpose Statement

The MacArthur Endowment provides scholarship assistance for TMU students. The endowment’s purpose represents the heart of Dr. John MacArthur to make TMU’s biblical education affordable to those who would otherwise not be able to obtain it due to financial constraints. The endowment funds several of TMU’s most prestigious scholarships given to students annually, including Founders’ Scholarship and Provosts’ Scholarship.

These scholarship funds seek to impact the nations for Jesus Christ by providing financial assistance to worthy underprivileged students, minority students exhibiting leadership aptitude, and students who evidence the desire to advance the gospel worldwide.

The scholarship aid may be used to offset the cost of tuition, room and board, books, fees, and other expenses that otherwise qualify as educational expenses under U.S. government loan programs. Students receiving aid from the Founders’ Scholarship and Provost’s Scholarship are selected by the President and Provost, respectively.

Endowment Funds at TMU

The Master’s University endowment funds serve many purposes, including providing for student scholarships, faculty funding, and ensuring the future sustainability of the university. With uncertain times ahead in our country, these funds ensure that The Master’s University will be in existence for many years to come.

Hear students share in their own words about the Lord’s work in their lives through TMU and how they have been blessed by the generosity of others through financial scholarships: Student Impact
