Lady Mustangs Sweep Hawks

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College volleyball team improved its 2015 record to 17-8 and 8-3 in GSAC play after beating the San Diego Christian Hawks in three sets Friday night at Bross Court.

“We have some history with San Diego Christian, and they are a team that battles every time we meet,” commented head coach Allan Vince. “We have been training specifically for them this week, and tonight, the ladies brought a phenomenal game. Our blocking and defense were exceptional, and we defended our court with teamwork and determination. It was a great night to coach this team.”

Leading TMC’s impressive outing was freshmen Emily Curtin (Lake Arrowhead, CA) who posted 10 kills and seven digs, while Aubrey Bekendam (Orland, CA) tallied 27 assists and 11 digs.

TMC collectively posted 40 digs, 37 kills, 36 assists, 14 team blocks and a .289 attack percentage.

Tomorrow, the Lady Mustangs will be back in action when they take on Arizona Christian at Bross Court. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
