SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College volleyball program gains depth with the addition of Jasmine DeMare of Dearborn, Michigan.

photo.JPG“I chose The Master's College because they teach God's Word and I would like to be surrounded by godly people so that I may continue to grow as a Christian every day,” commented DeMare. “They also have a great volleyball program that I cannot wait to be a part of. Also, I chose this program because it has a beautiful campus and is in a great area. I'm most excited about meeting new people who love Christ and want to please Him and to play volleyball on a great team at the collegiate level.”

In her time at Divine Child High School, DeMare compiled a resume of dual-sport honors in both softball and volleyball. For volleyball, DeMare earned all-city honors, all-league honors, all-district honors, and all-regional honors in 2011, 2012, and 2013. For softball, the newest Lady Mustang earned all-city softball kudos in 2013 and all-district honors in 2012 and 2013.

Off the court, DeMare earned the school’s Leadership Award in 2011 and 2013.

Even before she represents the Lady Mustangs on the court, DeMare already has goals for her time at TMC by wanting to “to grow as a volleyball player, a teammate, a leader and win a national championship.”

DeMare looks to aid the Lady Mustangs as a defensive specialist.  In addition, the future Lady Mustang looks to major in Liberal Studies (Teacher Education) for a career as a math teacher.

“I would like to be a teacher and I know The Master's College has a great education program,” assessed DeMare.

The Lady Mustangs finished their 2013 campaign with a 23-9 record.  TMC made a strong postseason run before falling to Wayland Baptist in the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Volleyball National Championship tournament.
