Santa Clarita, Calif. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 492 women's soccer student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Three seniors represented the Mustangs: Rachel Meyers (Auburn CA), Kristyn Richards (Lancaster, CA), and Janelle Sullivan (Riverside, CA).

TMC went 12-6-2 in 2012, finishing 6-4 and in fourth place in the GSAC.  The Lady Mustangs qualified for the GSAC Tournament, making it as far as the semi-finals before being ousted by eventual conference champion Vanguard.

To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director for this honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
