Riverside, Calif.- The Lady Mustangs soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 loss at California Baptist on Saturday afternoon in the NCCAA West Regional Final. TMC could have punched their ticket to the NCCAA National Championship Tournament with a win.

Coach Lewis's team had a few good chances to score in the first half, but the Lancers goalie, Nicoline Jorgenson, saved every shot she faced which kept the score at 0-0 going into half. Ilyssa Espiritu saved the only two shots she faced as well in a solid defensive first-half for the Lady Mustangs.

The second half was pretty quiet offensively as both teams combined for just two shots on goal, but CBU's one shot found the back of the net. TMC had five shots in the second half but struggled to put those shots on frame. The defense for Master's continued to play well as they only allowed the one shot.

The best scoring chance for Master's came in the 62nd minute when Bobbie Roberts took a header and hit the post. TMC continued to have good offensive pressure for the remainder of the game but never finished any of their opportunities.

In the 64th minute, Lindsay Vesling took an assist from Kylee Nicassio and buried a goal toward the far post to score the only goal of the game to give CBU the 1-0 victory.
