SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s cross country and track programs have signed Rachel Ingoldsby of St. Johns, Florida, to compete in the fall of 2013.

Ingoldsby, a homeschooled student who competes with Bartram Trail High School in St. Johns, Florida, boasts an impressive resume that includes leading the Bears to both Florida High School Athletic Association and St. John’s district championships for cross country and track, individual FHSAA championship honors, a two-time recipient of the St. Johns All-Conference Award, and being named the school’s cross country MVP for 2011.

Commenting on why she chose The Master’s College, Ingoldsby stated, “I chose TMC because of its commitment to solid biblical doctrine and focus on Christ in every field.  I look forward to making lasting friendships and growing with other like-minded Christians in my walk with Christ.”RachelIngoldsby.jpg

Mustang cross country and track head coach Zach Schroeder believes that Ingoldsby has the potential to be a top competitor in both the Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA in her time as a Mustang.

“Rachel is a feisty competitor with tremendous potential,” said Schroeder.  “Ingoldsby has put up some great times in high school, but her potential is still very untapped.  We look forward to have her as an immediate scorer for what looks to be a podium team for nationals.”

The Lady Mustang cross country and track programs manufactured strong marks in 2012-13, producing two NAIA cross country All-American athletes (Hannah Kellerman and Karis Frankian) and also three Golden State Athletic Conference champions in track (Frankian, Kellerman, and Ayla Draper).

The Lady Mustangs look to a fruitful 2013-14 season as they will not be graduating any talent at the end of the 2013 season.
