Head Coach Zach Schroeder

This fall, Coach Schroeder enters his eighth year at TMC, his sixth as head coach. Since 2006, Schroeder has coached his athletes to 29 All-GSAC titles, 14 NAIA All-American titles, and two individual NAIA National Champion titles one in cross country and one in the marathon for track.

Just four years ago, the men made their first-ever appearance at the NAIA National Championships under Schroeder's leadership and have not failed to place a runner at the nationals since.

Following the completion of his master's degree (National University) in 2006, Schroeder turned his attention to building an elite running program at TMC. His vision and passion for the sport have already transformed what was once simply TMC cross country, into what is now the TMC Distance Project. He has brought in a slew of high caliber athletes on his men's team and has seen a new level of performances each year. In 2007 Schroeder saw his team earn 4th place in the tough GSAC Conference Championships and three of his athletes were named to the All-GSAC team. In 2008 he coached Jeff Jackson who exploded onto the men's running scene and ended the year on the All-GSAC team. In 2009 he displayed his tremendous recruiting ability as he had two freshmen named to the All GSAC team. In 2010 he expects great things to come.

With momentum turned his way on the men's side, Schroeder is also building a solid women's team and feels that 2010 may be a turning point for the future of TMC Women's running.

Schroeder has shown that he is more than a recruiter. He is responsible for the program's training regimen, the implementation of a highly-focused training philosophy, and most of all, a mentor to his athletes who are learning not only discipline, but how to live and run to please Jesus Christ.

Coach Schroeder resides in Santa Clarita with his wife, Amie.
