FALLBROOK, Calif --  Junior Andrew Bergoon (Mobile, Alabama) shot the low round of the final day with at 2-under 70, which proved to be a key component for the Mustangs to hold off the University of Victoria and secure the 3rd place at the CSU San Marcos Fall Classic, hosted at the Golf Club of California.

Thane Ringler's (Hutchinson, KS) first round 68 held up to be the second best individual round of the tournament, which contributed to the strong team score of 298 on the first day of competition.  Ringler was the individual leader after round 1, and trailed by just three strokes in second position after round 2.  His efforts over the 3-day event landed the sophomore in a three-way tie for fourth place in the individual standings.

Equally important was the consistent play of junior John Lawson (Mobile, Alabama) as he posted scores of 76, 77, 75 respectively to finish in a tie for 12th on the individual leaderboard and contribute to a strong team finish.

The Mustangs will now enter a long break without returning to the competitive landscape for nearly three months.  When they next hit the links, Master's will face a single day, dual match with Claremeont slated for February 3rd at the Empire Lakes Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga.
