SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Continuing to reload his roster, Head Coach Jason Semelsberger has signed Valencia, California, native, Daniel Kim.

“I chose The Master’s College because I felt it was the right path for me to grow and mature according to God’s will,” commented Kim. “After meeting Coach Semelsberger and some of the guys on the team, I knew this was where I belonged. I’m looking forward to forming everlasting relationships with both my teammates and classmates, and I’m also excited to truly grow in the path or righteousness.”

Kim, who competed for the Vikings of Valencia High School and recently finished a two-year stint with the College of the Canyons Cougars, eyes a successful collegiate career as a Mustang by having an overarching goal of helping the team win an NAIA national championship title.Prof.jpg

Looking beyond his time as a Mustang, Kim desires to have a career as professional golfer, but will major in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing while studying at The Master’s College.

Commenting on Kim’s commitment, Head Coach Jason Semelsberger stated, “It’s going to be important to have some upper-classmen leadership on our team as we have a lot of under-classmen on this year’s squad.  Daniel has a zeal for the Lord that brings an excellent dynamic to the team that will help us all grow in our walks with Christ.”

Kim’s signing is a key one looking ahead to 2014-15 season, with the Mustangs graduating four seniors this year. To date, Semelsberger has signed five new additions to join the two returning Mustang golfers.

The Master’s College men’s golf team will kick things off on Monday, September 8 at the UC Ferguson Invitational on the greens of Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
