2014: The program’s longest-serving designated hitter should continue to operate at a high level, getting on base consistently and driving in runs from the middle of the order…very talented and strong, he can hit for average and power…disciplined at the plate, he works counts, and draws a lot of walks…although his strength is pulling the ball, he has shown excellent improvement in hitting to all fields, making him even more of a threat.
2013: Continued to thrive as the club’s designated hitter, giving the team a solid, run-producing bat in the middle of the order…finished second on the club in home runs, rbi, and total bases…led the team in walks…had 10 multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-4 outing vs. La Sierra on 4/2/13…following an early-season slump, he hit safely in 20 of the club’s final 27 games…drove in two or more runs 14 times, featuring four-rbi games vs. Simpson on 1/19/13 and Arizona Christian on 2/22/13.
2012: The club’s designated hitter produced well in the middle of the order, improving in nearly every offensive category…finished third on the club in batting average and hits…raised his batting average 68 points from his freshman year and his OPS improved 116 points…had 13 multi-hit outings, including a pair of three-hit performances…hit safely in 20 of 21 games from early February through mid-March…went 3-4 with three rbi vs. Claremont on 2/8/12…drove in two or more runs six times…walked a career-high three times vs. Azusa Pacific on 3/16/12.
2011: Impressive first-year player started off hot, tailed off, and then settled in for an average freshman campaign…hit in eight of his first nine games, going 12-30 with four two-hit outings…finished the year with 10 multi-hit performances…his best day at the plate may have come on 2/4/11 when he went 2-4, slugged a pair of home runs, drove in two runs, and scored three times…made 43 starts, mainly in right field.
Centennial HS: Put up big numbers and was a major contributor as a two-year varsity starter for the Golden Hawks and Coach Randy Roberts…in his junior year, he earned second-team all-state underclassman honors after hitting .452 with seven home runs and 35 rbi…a year later, he led the 25-6 Hawks to the Southwest Yosemite League League (SWYL) crown, hitting .438 with 10 homers and 38 rbi…hit a home run in his final high school at-bat in the CIF Central Section semi-final game…named to the Kern County All-Area team by the Bakersfield Californian.
