Mrs. Claire Blackwell

Professor Claire Blackwell received her education in mathematics at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota

She started her professional life as a computer analyst for General Electric, Aerospace in Utica, NY.

Her teaching career started at the junior and senior high school levels in New York Mills, NY. After coming to The Master's College, she has also taught Mathematical Systems for Elementary Teachers, History of Mathematics, Number Theory, and Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. Her husband, Prof. David Blackwell also teaches Critical Thinking and Problem Solving for the Degree Completion Program so they often have a team approach to the classes. 

One of her hobbies that became a vocation, is Ringing handbells in her local church. Prof. Blackwell developed a special interest in solo ringing and was asked to co-author a book Solo & Ensemble Techniques, an Artistic Approach.  She came to The Master's College initially to direct the Handbell Ensembles!
