JOHN MACARTHUR is the pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA, the president of The Master’s University and Seminary and a featured teacher with Grace To You media ministry.
In the midst of these roles, John is a prolific writer and speaker. His 3,500 sermons span more than four decades of ministry and he has produced nearly 400 books and study guides, including Our Sufficiency in Christ, Strange Fire, Ashamed of the Gospel, The Murder of Jesus, The Prodigal Son, Twelve Ordinary Men, The Truth War, The Jesus You Can’t Ignore, Slave, One Perfect Life and The MacArthur New Testament Commentary series. John’s titles have been translated into more than two dozen languages. The cornerstone resource of his ministry, The MacArthur Study Bible, has been translated from English (NKJ, NAS and ESV) to Spanish, Russian, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic and Chinese. Additionally, The MacArthur New Testament Commentary series was completed in 2015. In 33 volumes John takes you in detail, verse by verse, through the entire New Testament.
John and his wife, Patricia, live in Southern California and have 4 married children. They also enjoy the enthusiastic company of 15 grandchildren.
DR. STEVEN J. LAWSON is president and founder of OnePassion Ministries, which is designed to equip biblical expositors to bring about a new reformation in the church. In tandem with this, Lawson teaches and serves on the boards of both The Master’s University & Seminary and Ligonier Ministries.
He has been a pastor for more than 34 years, dividing that time between Arkansas and Alabama, most recently at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. The Daring Mission of William Tyndale, the most recent of his 20 books, was published January of 2016 and is centered around the man who helped shape the English Reformation and ultimately lost his life for it. His other books include The Kind of Preaching God Blesses, The Heroic Boldness of Martin Luther, The Gospel Focus of Charles Spurgeon, Foundations of Grace, Pillars of Grace, Famine in the Land, Psalms Vols. 1 and 2 and Job in the Holman Old Testament Commentary Series.
Dr. Lawson and his wife, Anne, have 4 children: Andrew, James, John and Grace Anne.
TOM PENNINGTON has served as pastor-teacher at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, TX, since October 2003. Before arriving in Texas, he spent 16 years serving in various roles: personal assistant to John MacArthur, and a pastor and elder at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Grace to You, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the international radio, publications and internet ministry.
Tom completed his B.A. and M.A. at Bob Jones University and was as a member of the faculty while taking additional Ph.D. classes in New Testament Interpretation. In 2013, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from The Master’s University and Seminary.
Tom’s teaching is featured on The Word Unleashed®, a teaching ministry based out of Countryside Bible Church. It was founded on one principle, that God has given you every spiritual resource you need to grow in Jesus Christ, and you find those resources in His all-sufficient Word (2 Peter 1:3). In addition to his role as pastor-teacher, he is actively involved internationally in training pastors in expository preaching and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Master’s University and Seminary.
Tom and his wife, Sheila, have 3 children: Lauren, Katie and Jessica.
PAUL WASHER became a believer while studying at the University of Texas. After completing his undergraduate studies, he enrolled at Southwestern Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity. After graduating, he moved to Peru and served there as a missionary for 10 years, during which time he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society in order to support Peruvian church planters. HeartCry’s work has grown to support indigenous missionaries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Latin America. Paul now serves as one of the laborers with HeartCry, and frequently travels to speak at conferences and schools.Washer has written 6 books, including The Gospel’s Power and Message.
He and his wife Charo have 4 children: Ian, Evan, Rowan and Bronwyn.
