The College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) is honoring two Master's College music majors by inviting them to play in the Inter-Collegiate Honor Band March 24 in Seattle. The band is composed of students selected by the association nominated from all colleges and universities under 17,000. The students are Jenny Trees of Edmunds, Washington, on oboe and Marissa Wagner of Platteville, Wisconsin, on flute.

Dr. Stephen Opfer, Director of instrumental studies for the college music department, will accompany the student to the bi-annual meeting of the CBDNA, held this year at the University of Washington in Seattle, March 22-26. Directors of each institution are allowed to submit the names of no more than two students. Many schools have only one or even none selected by the committee; both of TMC's students were chosen.

The Master's College's music program has distinguished itself over the years and this May the College Chorale performs in the Lincoln Center in New York City. See: Dr. Paul Plew Invited to Conduct in New York City's Lincoln Center
