The Lady Mustang's soccer team traveled to Irvine Saturday, falling to No. 14 Concordia 2-1.
All of the scoring occurred in the first half of play with the Eagles getting on the board first. In the 16th minute, Master's was called for a handball in the box. Jacqueline Turner scored on the ensuing penalty kick to open the scoring.
Coach Curtis Lewis' team would tie the game however a mere six minutes later. Natasha Coyle scored her team leading 10th goal of the season, chipping a shot over the Concordia net minder as she attempted to clear the ball.
Concordia Rachel Hook scored the game's deciding goal in the 34th minute, assisted by Turner.
Master's never let up, taking five shots in the second half to no avail. The Lady Mustangs best opportunity to tie the match came in the 73rd minute when Dani Hollinger's corner kick was headed wide by Katie Trevino.
Ilyssa Espiritu had six saves in goal for TMC who will be back in action on Wednesday October 26 against Biola.
With the loss, the No. 24 Lady Mustangs fall to 9-7 overall, 3-4 in the GSAC.
