Hagopian, a junior at JSerra Catholic High School, enters TMC with a resume that boasts co-MVP Offense honors from her freshman year, a team-leading 12 goals in her sophomore year, and was labeled as the OC Register’s “Player to Watch” in 2011.

Off the field, Hagopian has earned a spot on JSerra’s Principal Honor Roll each semester since her freshman year. Hagopian is also an accomplished photographer as she has photos on display at the Soka University Art Gallary.

For club, Hagopian is a third-year member of the Southern California Blues Soccer Club where she led her team in scoring in 2012.

Commenting on why she chose The Master’s College Hagopian said, “It has everything! Great coaches, a small intimate environment, and a great soccer program that runs a fast-paced offense. I’m excited to bring the glory to God by serving my team to the best of my ability!”

Lady Mustang head coach Curtis Lewis anticipates Hagopian becoming an immediate contributor with her seasoned prep experience.SoccerSigning 04.jpg

“Anya came out for one practice and that was all I needed to see,” said Lewis. “She’s a true striker, and has a fantastic shot accompanied with feistiness and speed. I firmly believe by her sophomore year that she’ll be an NAIA All-American.”

Coach Lewis plans to play Hagopian at forward.

TMC went 12-6-2 in 2012 and finished 6-4 in the Golden State Athletic Conference.  Coach Lewis and his squad will look to write a new chapter in Lady Mustang soccer as they begin their 2013 campaign in a home opener against Grace College (IN) on August 15, at 4:00 PM on Reese Field.
