September 18, 2013
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s cross country team ranks 13th in the nation, according to the first regular-season NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 poll.
This week’s ranking is a three spot drop from the Lady Mustangs’ No. 10 preseason ranking.
The Lady Mustangs join two other teams from the Golden State Athletic Conference on this week’s poll: No. 5 Biola and No. 9 Westmont.
TMC also dropped two spots in the Conference/A.I.I./Unaffiliated Group Poll, as they now sit third out of eight GSAC teams.
The Lady Mustangs have an opportunity to jump back in the NAIA’s Top 10 as they compete against a strong field of competitors this Saturday at their second annual home cross country meet, The Mustang Challenge. Race time is 8:15 a.m. at Central Park.
