Kopp Wins Biola Invitational As Women Continue To Make Case For Top Ten Ranking
The Lady Mustang's cross country team continued to look like a national Top 10 team as sophomore Holly Kopp won the Biola Invitational, finishing the challenging 5k course in 18:05.
Holly's individual meet victory is the first for the Lady
Mustangs in TMC history.
Hannah Kellerman raced to a solid 4th place finish (18:34), followed by Sarah Pattison (19:03), Katrina Graham (19:14), and Hayley Parkinson (19:50).
The women finished 3rd in team score (49), narrowly edged out by both Biola (43) and Westmont (47). The Lady Mustang's team time was only :10 slower than Biola who is ranked No. 8 nationally.
Both Mustang squads are poised and ready for the GSAC Championship on November 5th. History is in the making as the men chase an opportunity to win back to back conference titles; meanwhile the ladies look to join the men in Washington as the first women's team from The Master's College to earn a trip to the NAIA Cross Country National Championship.
