COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s cross country team earned high marks at the Vanguard Invitational on Saturday morning.
TMC’s Hannah Kellerman (Sartell, MN) finished first overall with a time of 17 minutes and 34 seconds on the 5,000-meter course. Sophomore standout Karis Frankian (Saugus, CA) placed second, only six seconds behind Kellerman with a time of 17:40.
“Karis is consistently improving placing second for the team, which resulted in the fastest team time in the school’s history,” remarked cross country head coach Zach Schroeder.
The No. 7 Lady Mustangs tied NCAA Division I Loyola Marymount for second out of 18 teams with a total time of 1 hour and 31:58.18 minutes. Saturday’s performance bodes well for the Lady Mustangs as the squad placed second out of the five other competing Golden State Athletic Conference teams (Biola, Vanguard, Concordia, Hope International, and San Diego Christian).
The Lady Mustangs get their next challenge when they compete at the West Coast Jamboree hosted by Biola in two weeks on Saturday, October 26.
