PALO ALTO, Calif. - On Saturday, The Master’s College women’s cross country team competed against some of the top teams in both the NAIA and NCAA at the 2013 Stanford Cross Country Invitational.
TMC finished third among 11 non-Division 1 colleges.
Hannah Kellerman (Sartell, MN) led the Lady Mustangs with a time of 22 minutes and 15 seconds over the 6,000-meter course, good enough for a third-place finish among non-Division 1 runners.
Karis Frankian (Saugus, CA) was not far behind, as the sophomore placed eighth in 22:48.
The rest of the Lady Mustangs followed as Katrina Graham (Riverside, CA), Rachael Ingoldsby (St. John’s, FL), Micayla Frankian (Saugus, CA), Hollie Larsen (Saugus, CA), Charity Schroeder (Palmdale, CA), Morgan Pedrick (Valencia, CA), and Jessica Hawley (Golden Valley, CA) posted times of 23:21, 23:33, 24:08, 24:15, 24:30, 26:26, and 29:17, respectively.
“Hannah had among the best performances in her career placing second from NAIA colleges only six seconds behind Southern Oregon’s Summer Cano,” observed head coach Zach Schroeder.
The Lady Mustangs will toe the line again at the Vanguard Invitational on October 12, 2013.
