November 2, 2012
Northridge, CA - Cal State Northridge placed five players in double figures and went on to beat The Master's 83-45 in an exhibition Friday evening.
Shooting nearly 52% from the field over the opening 20 minutes, the NCAA Division I Matadors cruised to a 49-26 halftime lead. The Mustangs were held to 23% accuracy.
Although the Matadors cooled down in the second half to the tune of 39%, it really didn't matter since the Mustangs managed to shoot just 22%.
Junior transfer Jacqui Marshall paced the Mustangs with nine points and six rebounds. Senior Theresa Brown complemented Marshall off the bench, tallying eight points.
The Mustangs play another exhibition on Saturday, traveling to Westchester to take on Loyola Marymount at 2:00pm.
