Preview: TMC vs. Carroll

TMC (25-5) enters the tournament with a No. 3 seed (four quadrant) and will square off against sixth-seeded Carroll College of Montana on March 13 at 1:45 PM (EST).

“We’re excited to go back to the national tournament,” commented Lady Mustang head coach Dan Waldeck. “Carroll’s a great team, and we’re going to have to play well to compete with them.  We’re continuing to work on the things we do well, and make sure we’re ready hit the floor on Wednesday.”

The Lady Mustangs concluded their regular season schedule with a third-place finish in the Golden State Athletic Conference, and a No. 10 ranking in the NAIA.  Next week will mark TMC’s eight appearance in the national tournament.

Carroll College (20-9), the nation’s 24th ranked team, finished second in the Frontier Conference with a 13-2 record.  This will be the sixth time in program history that the Saints will play in the National Tournament, mirroring the Lady Mustangs last national tournament appearance in 2008.

Should the Lady Mustangs advance to the second round of the tournament, they will play either Lee University of Tennessee (30-2) or LSU Shreveport (25-5) in a 9:00 AM (EST) tipoff on Friday, March 15.

The first 30 games will be video-streamed live by NeuLion.  The National Championship title game will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network.
