SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s basketball team has signed Hannah Drivstuen, a native of Monroe, Washington.
“I chose The Master’s College to play basketball and meet new people,” said Drivstuen.
The 5-8 future Lady Mustang enters with an impressive resume consisting of both academic and athletic honors earned at Monroe High School, a member of the Wesco 4A league.
Based on her performance in the classroom, Drivstuen was the school’s English Department Scholar in 2014 and was the Principal's Choice Department Scholar in 2015.
Athletically, Drivstuen was a four-year letterman in basketball, earned the basketball team’s Inspirational Award, and served as a team captain in the 2015-16 season.
Looking ahead to her time as a Lady Mustang, Drivstuen already has her sights on achieving a number of goals.
“I want to push myself to be the best I can be as a person and as an athlete.”
Commenting on Drivstuen’s signing, TMC head coach Dan Waldeck said, “I’m thrilled to have a person like Hannah joining our program. Her zest for the Lord, relationships, and basketball will make it an easy transition into our culture here. She is an elite defender with the availability to stretch the floor with a deft three-point shot, which will help her impact our team immediately.”
Waldeck plans to play Drivstuen on the wing.
In 2015-16, The Master’s College women’s basketball team posted an overall record of 25-6 and went 14-2 in Golden State Athletic Conference play. The Lady Mustangs look to build on last year’s strong results with a slew of veterans and an impressive class of new recruits.
