SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s basketball schedule for 2014-15 has been released.

"I think our schedule will challenge and prepare us for another great year,” commented head coach Dan Waldeck. “We start off with some great teams with our exhibitions, games against the Frontier Conference, a tough classic in Santa Barbara and competing against a great Chapman team on the road. Also, with starting our conference slate against Vanguard, Westmont, and Concordia in early December, we are hopeful our early schedule will reveal what is needed for our team to make another trip to the NAIA national tournament. The rigorous GSAC schedule will only be tougher next season as teams continue to improve and expand.  I'm looking forward to going through the growing process that each new season brings."

The 14th-ranked Lady Mustangs are slated to face five teams on the 2013-14 NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Postseason Top 25 Poll: 22nd-ranked Hope International, 18th-ranked Westmont, 17th-ranked Lewis-Clark State (ID), fourth-ranked Westminster (UT), and third-ranked Vanguard. Being tested early, the Lady Mustangs will face Westminster on Saturday November 8, and host Lewis-Clark State a week later. Games against TMC’s three other ranked opponents (Hope, Westmont, and Vanguard) will take place during the Lady Mustangs' always-competitive conference schedule.

Once again, the Lady Mustangs will host a basketball tournament over Christmas break – The Jersey Mike’s Holiday Classic – and will take on South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and Southwestern Christian (OK).

The Lady Mustangs’ 2014-15 season boasts 29 games, 14 of which will be played at home on Bross Court.  While the Lady Mustangs will have their hands full with 16 GSAC competitions, the squad will take on 13 games against highly-talented, non-conference teams.

The Lady Mustangs will open their season against Westminster College at the Westminster Kickoff Classic on Friday, November 7. The squad’s home opener, however, will be on November 15 against Lewis-Clark State.

At the end of the 2013-14 season, the Lady Mustangs went 24-9 overall and 10-4 in conference play. TMC finished its season ranked 14th in the national polls, while sitting in second place in the conference standings.
