2012-13: Building on the experience of a solid freshman campaign, the incumbent at the point is ready to put her stamp on this year’s team with improved floor leadership and decision-making…very athletic, quick, and fast, she’ll set the tone at both ends of the court…a solid ballhandler, she’s able to get in and out of small spaces, and create open looks for teammates…unselfish but learning to be a scorer…can knock down the perimeter shot, keeping defenses honest…very good in transition and hard to keep pace with…intense and tenacious, one-on-one defender…will be pushed for playing time so complacency won’t be an issue.
2011-12: Making it difficult for the coaching staff to keep her out of the lineup, the first-year player was rewarded with a starting job at the point where she performed quite well while filling big shoes…made 21 starts and averaged the second-most minutes…led the club in assists, highlighted by a season-best 10 vs. Pt. Loma Nazarene on 1/21/12…dished out four or more assists 12 times…finished second on the team with 45 steals, pilfering a season-high five vs. Cal State San Marcos on 12/6/11…tallied in double figures nine times, scoring a career-high 17 points in a 49-43 upset of No. 11 Southern Nazarene (OK) on 11/26/11…averaged nearly four rebounds per outing and grabbed a season-high 10 against Fresno Pacific on 1/3/12.
Lakeside HS: A four-year varsity performer and a three-season starter for the Lions and Coach Sandy Schneider…part of three playoff squads, including one that finished fourth in the state (3A) in 2008-09…a three-time all-3A Metro selection, she moved up to a first-team choice as a senior after averaging 12.1ppg and 4.2apg…averaged 11.1ppg and 4apg as a junior…following her final season, she was selected to play in the Queens of the Hardwood All-Star Game.
