SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- Displaying excellence in the classroom as well as on the fields of play, 14 athletes from The Master’s College have been named 2012 GSAC Scholar Athletes for the fall sports season.  TMC’s selections came from the men’s & women's soccer teams, men's & women’s cross country squads, and the women's volleyball squad.

To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be nominated by their institution’s head coach, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and have achieved a junior academic status.

  • Darren Lightfoot - Men's Soccer
  • Peter Martin - Men's Soccer
  • Rachel Meyers - Women's Soccer
  • Kristyn Richards - Women's Soccer
  • Janelle Sullivan - Women's Soccer
  • Rebecca Peluffo - Volleyball
  • Rachel Taylor - Volleyball

Competitive athletics are emphasized at The Master’s College as part of a comprehensive approach to education.  Student Athletes at The Master’s College not only compete in their respective sports, but also in the classroom with the goal of preparation to becoming dedicated leaders to Christ and Scripture within in their communities, work places, and local churches.
