SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- As the spring athletic season begins to wind down, the honors and invitations continue to pour in for the Mustang Distance Project duo of Anthony Pizzo (Canyon Country, CA) and John Gilbertson (Saugus, CA).

The pair has accepted an elite invitation to compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, held at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. The duo will be pitted against a mixture of professional athletes and a slew of top-ranked collegiate athletes from Division 1 NCAA schools such as University of Arizona, University of Arkansas, Air Force, BYU, UCLA, West Kentucky University, Dartmouth, University of Michigan, University of Florida, and Georgetown.

On Thursday, April 19th, Anthony Pizzo will compete in the 10,000m with a meet time scheduled at 8:40 pm.  Following his performance will be John Gilberston’s chance to represent The Master’s College as he will compete in the 5000m on Friday, April 20th at 10:15 pm.

Immediately on the docket for the Men’s and Women’s track teams is the Pomona-Pitzer invitational held in Pomona, Calif. on April 14th, 2012.
