2011: One of the club's key performers on the defensive edge…steps back into his regular spot at left defender where his experience as a four-year starter will be invaluable…applauded by the coaching staff for his calm, composed play, especially in tight situations where he has a knack for securing the ball…a terrific one-one defender…a consistently hard worker whose durability is a must…knows how to attack on those rare occasions when he takes the ball up the field…possesses excellent timing and is one of the club's top volleyers. 2010: Played smart and solid in his first season at outside defender, starting all 14 games in which he played and extending his current streak of consecutive starts to 29…tallied two goals and two assists on the way to six points…his first goal of the season ignited a barrage of scoring in a 5-1 win over Southwestern on 9/17/10…his other score was the game-winner in a 2-1, sudden-death, overtime triumph over Pt. Loma Nazarene on 9/25/10. 2009: After beginning the year as a valuable sub, the solid
sophomore worked his way into the starting lineup over the final 15
matches and was a key component on one of the nation's strongest
defenses…both of his goals were game-winners, scoring first in wins
over CSU San Marcos (9/5/09) and Pt. Loma Nazarene
(9/26/09)…assisted on the only goal (Jake Marchesani) in a 1-0
squeaker at San Diego Christian on 10/10/09. |
