Mustang Men Receive All Region Honors
Coming on the heels of a great Regional performance, the Mustang Men have had two of their own named to the GSAC/Cal Pac/Cascade All-Region team. Selection for this honor is based on performance in Regionals and the players' body of work for the year.
Coming off a fantastic freshman campaign, Thane Ringler has proven himself one of TMC's leaders on the course all year long. With an individual championship verses Claremont Mudd Scripps, Ringler also finished in the top-20 6 different times, with a T-2 finish at the Viking Classic and a T-4 finish at the Regional Championship.
Leading the way all year for the Mustangs was Kevin Anderson. The senior finished first in three events and took second on two more occasions. He only missed the top ten one time, earning a T-4 and T-8 in his other two outings. Anderson was the number one finisher for the Mustangs in 7 of their 10 events, with three of those leading to 1st place team finishes.
Coach Semelsberger couldn't be more pleased with his athletes and commented, "I am excited to see the Lord growing both Kevin and Thane as players and as men. Kevin has played solidly all year and, more importantly, represented Christ well in seeking to see His Kingdom advanced! Thane has continued to get better throughout the year and is already developing into one of the key leaders of our team. I am very pleased and grateful for how God continues to bless our college golf program. "
